Keeping your Tradefox account secure
Your Tradefox account houses your certifications, course progress, and simulation achievements. To ensure your learning journey remains uninterrupted and your data stays safe, we recommend the following security measures.
Create a strong, unique password
The most effective way to protect your account is to use a password that is difficult to guess and isn’t used anywhere else.
A secure password includes:
- At least 8 characters.
- A mix of letters, numbers, and special symbols.
- No personal details like your name, business name, or “12345.”
Tip: If you forget your password, you can reset it safely by clicking “Forgot Password” on the sign-in screen. We will send a secure link to your registered email.
Guard your certification data
Tradefox is used by many to prepare for real-world certifications. To protect the integrity of your progress:
- Never share your login: Your account is for your personal skill development. Sharing logins can lead to conflicting progress data or lost certificates.
- Use individual accounts for teams: If you are a business owner or teacher, use the “Tradefox for Business” or “Tradefox for Schools” features to invite students or staff as individual users rather than sharing a single login.
Watch out for "Phishing"
Phishers may try to trick you into giving away your login by pretending to be Tradefox support.
Remember:
- Tradefox will never ask for your password via email, text, or social media.
- Always check that the URL is tradefoxapp.com before entering any sensitive information.
- If you receive an email claiming your “subscription is expiring” and asking for credit card details outside of the app, do not click the link.
Secure your mobile device
Since Tradefox is often used on-site or on the go via iOS and Android apps, your device’s security is just as important as your password.
- Use a passcode, FaceID, or fingerprint lock on your phone or tablet.
- If you lose your device, change your Tradefox password immediately from a different computer to log out of all active sessions.
Keep your app updated
We regularly release updates that include security patches and new simulations.
- Ensure you are running the latest version of the Tradefox app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Using the most recent version ensures that your progress syncs correctly and that your data is encrypted using the latest standards.
How to report a security issue
If you notice unauthorized activity—such as courses being marked as “complete” that you haven’t started, or changes to your email address—please Contact Tradefox Support immediately.
